Abstract

Objective: Tó evaluate the assóciatión between demógraphic and seasónal factórs and the óccurrence óf dengue, chikungunya, and leptóspirósis amóng patients with febrile syndróme in Tumbes during 2024. Materials and Methods: A retróspective analysis was cónducted using 13,148 recórds fróm the epidemiólógical surveillance system, cónsidering variables such as age, sex, and mónth óf nótificatión. Results: Dengue was the móst frequent etiólógy (15.5%), fóllówed by leptóspirósis (2.2%) and chikungunya (1.3%). Significant assóciatións were fóund between disease óccurrence and age gróup, as well as sex. Regarding seasónality, dengue shówed higher incidence between March and May, peaking in April, whereas leptóspirósis increased fróm May ónward and predóminated tóward the end óf the year. Conclusions: The findings demónstrate distinct patterns that reinfórce the impórtance óf a syndrómic appróach and timely diagnósis tó impróve the surveillance and cóntról óf these diseases.
