Polarization in the media is an ambivalent and volatile phenomenon, where radical positions can be transformed into moderate or neutral ones. This study aims to demonstrate this process in press releases and expert evaluations of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). A correlational, cross-sectional and exploratory work was carried out with a sample of 700 students selected for their affiliation to a university committed to the implementation of the SDGs in the formation of intellectual capital. The results confirm the null hypothesis on the absence of significant differences between the theoretical structure and the empirical observations. The scope and limits of the study are discussed, as well as the need for a local risk communication policy.
