Objective: Asthma is a chronic pathology, a consequence of the narrowing of the lung passages. Socioeconomic status (SES) is a scale that combines parameters to identify the economic and social scale of a person. Housing is a social need and physical extension of family life. Objectives: to determine if the SES and the housing condition are related to bronchial asthma in minors, to identify the SES that is related to bronchial asthma, to identify the housing conditions as adequate or inadequate with respect to bronchial asthma, Identify if there is a relationship between the type of housing and bronchial asthma, Identify the SES and the housing condition in minors with bronchial asthma, according to gender. Finally, Identify the intervening variable such as family history. Method: applied, non-experimental research, of unpaired cases and controls, in pediatric patients. Surveys were carried out after informed consent. Bivariate analysis was used and to determine the relationship between variables, chi-square, where p <0.05 was accepted as significant, in addition to logistic regression with OR plus 95% CI, to determine the association between SES and housing condition with asthma. bronchial. Results: The relationship between asthma and marginal SES presented a p value = 0.960 and OR = 0.62, being non-significant and with the condition of inadequate housing, p = 0.015 and OR 2.91, being a significant association. Conclusion: Inadequate housing conditions were found to be a risk factor for bronchial asthma in minors.
