Author Guidelines

Ensure your manuscript is within the scope of the journal.

MANGLAR does not request APC and does not ask authors to pay for the submission, review, or publication of articles.

MANGLAR only publishes original articles and review articles.

Characteristics and structure of the articles to be presented:

Articles submitted to the journal must be original and unpublished, written in Spanish, English, or Portuguese, in the style, format, and conditions established in the TEMPLATE adopted by the journal.

The structure of an original article is as follows:

Title in Spanish and English.

Authors, according to the denomination chosen by each author.

Affiliation of each author, indicating the institution and physical address, including province and country.

Abstract in Spanish and English; not exceeding 200 words.

Keywords, in Spanish and English (no more than seven words).

Introduction, including problem situation, background, justification, and objective.

Methodology, including population and sample (or raw material), procedure or stages, statistical analysis, with the corresponding variants depending on the type of study.

Results and discussion, showing results supported by tables and figures, with the corresponding interpretation and/or contrast based on theory.

Conclusions, main results as a response to the study objectives, and a final paragraph suggesting future studies.

Acknowledgment, if applicable.

References. Use APA 7th edition or the latest version.

The MANGLAR journal uses references in alphabetical order by the first author's last name, according to APA 7th edition. It is important that all publications cited in the text must appear listed in the References, and vice versa, all listed References must have been cited in the text. A significant guideline to consider is that at least 50% of the references must be scientific articles, originally written in English, and published in the last 5 years. Books, theses, conference articles, and web pages should not be considered as part of the references unless necessary. It is suggested to use the Scopus or Web of Science database to conduct specialized searches and meet the aforementioned criteria.

Systematic review, meta-analysis, and bibliometric articles have the same format as an original article. Narrative reviews do not have the "methodology" or "results and discussion" sections; instead, they have chapters organized logically and coherently.

All works will be subject to peer review and evaluation by specialists in the field (arbitration).

Use the international measurement system.

Figures and tables will have titles at the bottom and top, respectively. Both tables and figures can include a legend at the bottom. Tables should be in editable format and only with horizontal lines. Images should be embedded in JPEG or PNG format.

Submissions are received exclusively through the journal's platform. If you do not have an account yet, you will need to register first.

Attach to the submission declarations of originality, compliance with ethical standards, and copyright transfer agreement, according to the formats established by the journal (DECLARATIONS).

Authors are also requested to send a similarity report using their preferred anti-plagiarism software. It is suggested that similarity should not exceed 5%.

The Editor receives the article and submits it for peer review (blind review), by specialists in the subject, who will comment on substantive aspects of the study. Once the evaluators' opinions are received, the Editor makes a report of acceptance or rejection of the article, and it is communicated to the corresponding author. If accepted, it can be: accepted with major revisions, accepted with minor revisions, and accepted without revisions. The review process can be repeated until there are no revisions. You can read more about this process in the Guide for Reviewers section.

While the manuscript is in any part of the editorial process, it cannot be sent to other journals. The author has the right to withdraw their article at any stage of the process, as long as the article has not been accepted for publication. Withdrawal is done by sending a message to the journal's editor.

This journal does not request financial contributions for submission, processing, or publication of articles. It is a journal fully subsidized by the Universidad Nacional de Tumbes.
