Information For Authors
The Editor of the International Journal of Social Sciences (RICSO) informs future authors of the following specifications for submitting articles.
Formal Requirements
All submitted articles must be original and unpublished. Additionally, they must not be concurrently submitted to other journals. Articles should be sent to the journal's email address (ricso@untumbes.com.pe) or uploaded to the online platform (http://revistas.untumbes.edu.pe/index.php/sociales/about/submissions).
The author must provide a Cover Letter indicating the originality of the article, signed by all authors, along with a brief curriculum vitae clearly stating institutional affiliation and email addresses.
The authors must designate a corresponding author, who may or may not be the lead author, with whom the Editor will maintain ongoing communication throughout the peer review and publication process.
The texts should not exceed 10,000 words. They must be submitted in their final draft, clearly written and double-spaced. The font used should be Times New Roman 11.
Articles submitted for possible publication should be written in Spanish, English, or Portuguese. However, the abstract and keywords of the articles must be provided in all three languages (Spanish, English, and Portuguese).
If using the journal's OJS platform, the final version of the document must be submitted in a Word-compatible format.
All papers must include references at the end of the document in the citation style of the American Psychological Association (APA), seventh edition in English, and fourth edition translated into Spanish.
The journal requires authors to provide their ORCID identifiers.
Sections of Publication
Submissions to the journal for publication may correspond to one of the following three sections:
Editorial
Document requested by the Editor of the journal, its content refers to a topic of interest according to the editorial policy, or refers to articles published in the current issue of the journal.
Research articles
Empirical research with theoretical support that presents in detail the original results of research projects. The text should be no longer than 20 pages and no shorter than 10 pages (including references and annexes). Research articles should include the following sections: (i) introduction, (ii) method, (iii) results, (iv) discussion, (v) conclusion, and (vi) references.
Review article
Includes the systematization and integration of the results of published or unpublished research on a field of knowledge. It must include a pertinent and updated bibliography. The text should be no longer than 25 pages and no shorter than 10 pages. Review articles should include the following sections: (i) introduction, (ii) argumentation, (iii) conclusions, and (iv) references.
