Digitization and the use of advanced software have redefined the relationship between qualitative and quantitative methods in scientific research, promoting their equalization and complementarity. Traditionally, the methodological distinction between the two approaches has been an obstacle to their integration. However, evidence shows that this barrier has been significantly reduced, allowing greater flexibility in data analysis. Methodological triangulation, far from being a secondary alternative, is emerging as a fundamental strategy to enrich scientific studies and strengthen the validity of their results. Although epistemological differences in the interpretation of data persist, technological progress has brought about an operational convergence in research practice. This transformation not only facilitates the analysis of data from multiple perspectives, but also broadens the possibilities of exploration and validation in the production of knowledge. From an applied perspective, the findings of this study provide an empirical basis for decision-making in both academia and the professional sphere, encouraging the adoption of mixed methodologies. The integration of approaches in the digital era is not only an emerging trend, but an imperative need to ensure more robust and holistic research. In this context, the debate on the relevance of this methodological convergence acquires greater relevance, given its impact on the construction of knowledge and the evolution of scientific research.
