The research focused on examining the current state of science journalism within the framework of transmedia narratives, highlighting its importance for the dissemination of scientific knowledge and the need to adapt to contemporary trends. A comparative analysis was conducted between the digital media Vanguardia.com and Shots de Ciencia, focusing on the presence of the latter on Instagram due to the lack of updates on its website. The research employed a case study and information gathering tools, such as content analysis and newsworthiness criteria. A multimedia digital resource was created to curate science news following a transmedia journalism strategy and science outreach was promoted through a program on UdiRadio.com. The results highlighted the importance of transmedia narratives in making science more engaging and accessible, transforming the way stories are told and how media relate to their audience. To remain relevant, media must offer participatory experiences and integrate science journalism into this new context, making science accessible and engaging to a wider audience.
